Reviews
Do you ever just want to read something thats light and a good read? Well I needed a light book, that was going to be romantic and utterly enchanting. I am a huge book fan and in the reviews I must confess the majority of them will be about a book. To me there is no better way to enjoy a book, whether its a physical copy or eBook, reading is fantastic and over the summer there is no better way to enjoy a book, in the sun with a glass or ten, you even find yourself reading more pages.
For me this book receives 4 stars, it has a fantastic literature, but I like a happy ending, it made me laugh and cry and has everything you want from a book.
SPOLIERS!
Second Chance Summer was everything I wanted, based around Taylor Edwards and like most teens her ages Taylor got pretty good at running away from her problems, however this stopped when her dad got sick, Taylor had to stop and confront here demons. With incredibly heartbreaking chapters, Taylor deals with a future without her dad, to her she has always been daddy's little girl, her brother and constant fact teller Warren was equal with his parents but her sister Gelsey was her mothers daughter therefore Taylor bonded with her father. With their last summer as a family approaching, they spend their summer at the summer home, which coincidentally 5 years ago Taylor ran away from her boyfriend Henry and best friend Lucy, who are not all so forgiving. Fast forward 5 years where so much has changed, her dad sick and dying, her annoying family Taylor has to confront the past. This book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster edging for a happy ending which you'll need to read.
